General Description Aries has high quality fibre and good fleece weight, This year (2011) he cut a saddle weight of 3kg. He has good staple length, superior handle with lustre and very good crimp amplitude plus elasticity rated at 3/5. Aries’ fleece staple length averaged around 110mm in length and his neck wool has very good quality and measured 80 – 90mm, being above average. His sire Marriglen Mars produced the Champion Alpaca Fleece in 2005/2006/2007. Aries temperament is excellent, has a very good head and presence. Aries will add another dimension to any herd when mated with the correctly selected females. The “Highly Commended” ribbon displayed on Aries was awarded at the Charles Ledger Show 2010, where the judge commented on his exceptional density. |
